@loki266 Indeed. The author can draw those grotesque human-faced animals and adult humans, but not kids. And in fact those kids are supposed to be elementary schoolers, not middle schoolers! They don't have school uniforms, plus we know Masato's family moved elsewhere when the dude was quite young, not yet in middle school. So, yeah, they are elementary school kids who mostly almost look like angry or frightened adults.
