Jinrou Game: Beast Side - Vol. 3 Ch. 17

The bodyguard protected the villager, either by knowing or gambling. Since the werewolf failed, the identity should be clear through process of elimination.
I don't really believe that Airi can talk herself out of this and win.

Thus the cycle starts again from the beginning where the surviving villagers proceed to round 2 and have to play werewolves? Maybe...
 
Uh oh, next chapter, two people argue endlessly over who is the bodyguard, because as the werewolf knows the two people who were protected by the bodyguard, who will survive! Is Ari truly crazy like a fox?
 
Serves her right though if she gets killed. hanging your ally out to dry like that is a sign of huge scumbagness
 
Well it probably wouldve been smarter to use Inoue's strategy I wonder if those last two survivors the villager and guard will outwit the protagonist probably not who knows
 
I had a feeling this would happen. Now I'm thinking the twin role is going to screw her over next.

We got one chapter left, I think. Next one will end it all.

Assuming there is bodyguard left (and you should always assume the worst scenario), it has to be Tsushima because Munakata can play this game (played online) so she would have always protected Fortune Teller night before. And Bodyguard cannot protect himself according to rules. So MC screwed up brilliantly. But still I wish she win since she is evil :)

Predicton:
MC and Tsushima will both claim bodyguard and it will be up to Munakata who will she choose.

Personally, I will judge MC to be smart enough to know that she should have protected fortune teller night before (if she really was bodyguard) what means MC is werewolf. Tsushima seems like this non-smart character who could have screwed up by not protecting fortune teller.
 
I don't know why but I'd feel kinda giddy seeing MC die from her mistake.
 
@ominus I don't think the remaining twin ( if still alive) can do anything. Even ignoring how unprovable the claim is, the twin would be the person who got protected so the vote would between the MC and bodyguard with the last person making the deciding vote. I don't think there is any way for the twin role to affect anything now.

Effectively, this" game" just came down to two a 50/50s: the bodyguard choosing the right person out of two to protect and the remaining person voting correctly between the bodyguard and werewolf. I think the only way to change those last odds would be decisions based on a person's personality, which I can only think of logic against the MC being the bodyguard. Since a skilled player is making the final decision, I would think they're more likely to conclude that the MC would have been smart enough to protect the fortune teller the previous night, whereas the squirrely girl might not be that smart.
 
oh shit, I just thought of a plan the MC could use the try and win.
(spoilers just in case it's right)

If the MC, goes back to her room and "attacks" herself to make it look like someone tried to kill her, then to the bodyguard it would look like the person they protected was the "werewolf" and they tried to kill the MC, but failed by not confirming the kill or something
 
I had forgotten about the bodyguard. I can't wait to see how MC escapes this situation.
 
@Pyrotrap The only one I could come up with is that the twins were already in contact with the bodyguard and were able to prove each other's identity to the bodyguard. This is mainly just betting on Munakata being a twin, and her having the ability to sniff out the bodyguard based on reactions. When I used to play a variation of werewolf, it was practically meta to know that anyone who was passive in the conversation was either new in a sense, an important village role, or just the villain - so there's that. But honestly, I don't think this is how the final chapter will go. I'm still thinking there's something I'm not considering here, but all my other ideas got shot up on as the story went along.

WHOA!! Things are heating up! Holy smokes! I guess the bodyguard has just been guarding a lot of the wrong people all this time!
