Kai's dying monologue went on way too long, like as if they were trying to "redeem" his character in his final moments and it just flopped really hard lol.

It would've been more fitting if the author played Kai's character straight instead of trying to salvage some humanity out of him.
The guy was played as a psychopath who clearly enjoyed what he was doing; there weren't hints of his own misery other than having an inferiority complex.
It's more believable that this guy would die right away or curse his killer before dying, not entertain a monologue under excruciating pain.

what are you talking about?? there were hints of his inferiority complex and inability to move forward..... one obvious one was when the fat guy confronted him and kai got genuinely upset... if he was a psychopath character he would have scoffed at that scene... not be upset

I also felt Kai's monologue was kinda long, but I guess it makes sense he wouldn't just die in 5 seconds after getting pierced by an arrow. As readers we knew Kai was like, but now Sei also knows, and I guess that's why he is sad?? Because he understands he was a sad sack until the end? Also his first kill.

Thanks for putting up with this weird series for so long! It wasn't the best manga out there but I'm still grateful I got to read this.
