ppl who didn't read the novel your in for an interesting treat! I had to read the novel just a few chapters in the manga for I had to know what was going on and I was not disappointed. So I am really excited to see how the manga will depict whats happening next!!!

The prince is a genius, so im pretty sure this could be solved easily by him... but im curious what's his misery will be if he's not with the heroine (in original game)

The character development for him is pretty neat! just compare him being emotionless at the beginning and thought Tia as a mere toy and now how he easily said "my emotions are all over the place"... "i won't let anything that make you sad..." aaaaah <3 i love this series, mostly because of the prince POV, decent idea.

When people say the prince wasn't a normal kid in the beginning of the story they were not kidding. Cil being super smart for his age wasn't some manga hijinks it was actually a sort of condition that runs in the imperial family. Once every few generations a royal will be born with these incredible abilities but the consequence of this intelligence is that they will be emotionless/hollow unless they find something that makes them feel fulfilled. In the past, some don't and just become hermits, others found solace in some study or in conquest, and in some cases just being in love was enough to fill that void within them. And we learn the King hoped Cil would find love, by having the Cil engaged to the eccentric Bertia.

but If you want to exactly why Bertia says Cil has to be Heronia you can just @ me because that is a separate issue

@papperless I also love the prince POV it is a very refreshing protagonist for this genre of reincarnated into an otome game thing where its the game character instead of the player

In the noval Bertia explains that with each "target" the player chooses Cil gets a bad end. In one he becomes a hermit, another a war crazy king, I do think he dies in one for that's just what a dramatic otome game would do, but I read the translation months ago so I can't remember them all but since only Cil gets a bad end if the player doesn't choose him Bertia is doing her best to make sure he ends up happy and safe with Heronia

@MagicalCarcrash She got abducted by someone who was charmed by her, Tossed on a bed. He laid over her. And she Said something idiotic that amounted to "What are we going to do on the bed?" like a delightfully oblivious idiot.
At that point I closed my browser, threw my computer in the ocean, and said goodbye to the bakarina story.

@GambierBay Well that's pretty stupid. She's an grown-ass adult by that point. The author over play her innocence that it crossed into the realm of metally challenged.

The reasons why she was pushing the prince to be with the bitch were kinda obvious, a few chapters before i think it showed what could "Possibly" happen with the prince not to mention explaining why he is like that (super intelligent and stuff), it was just a matter of connecting a few dots here and there.

What the MC does not realize its that she can perfectly achieve that perfect ending she wants for him by being with him, but maybe all of this its just necessary to make sure the prince completely falls in love with Bertia rather than lose interest in her before it happens, because i believe the one thing he can't get a complete read of their actions its her.

This is just an extra long courting dance people and we are about to reach the end!

theres no such thing as the fated maiden. When the prince and the heroine kiss in the game, a mark appeared on both their hands(? idk its been a long time since i read the novel) That mark shows that the other party has the protection of their partners spirit. Because of that the game made it seem that its the mark that shows that the heroine is "the fated maiden",which is why bertia keeps saying the "heroine" is the "fated maiden".

I hope he doesn't completely destroy Heronia. I mean she's annoying, but I don't think she deserves a horrible fate just for that. Especially since she doesn't even seem to be fully aware of her bird's charm magic (It's explained in the chapter before this that, like Bertia, she probably doesn't know about the magic in this world because it wasn't in the game).
