It's a rebuttal to the original story of the game or what the heroine believes is the true events.
Cecil doesn't love Heronia in the original story:He's a puppet forced to toy with her.
The original game's world is bittersweet (or plain sad) as it seems happy and great on the surface but is secretley real disturbing.
