Frey seems rather impulsive for a mythological intelligent beast capable of rational thought. Thinking MC is the demon lord being grounds to be killed seems off. Or is this one of those times where the meaning is muddled due to cultural or translation differences? Like was she really asking to be killed, or was it more "my life is yours" type thing. MC definitely stayed inside too long if can't tell a giant wolf from a dog. Speaking of which, I wonder if Frey has a deadly bite being a Fenrir as the original one had a god killing fang, although that might have been due to being a son of Loki.

In the LN the king and queen aren't so lovey dovey or in sync. In LN both seem determined to ruin and loathe each other you'd think they'd be holding daggers behind their backs and sinister smiles. Also, king decided on own to send MC out to die and spread rumors blaming queen for their son being magic ally lacking. Queen didn't argue or have any motherly concerns and was just coldly plotting. That and before meeting MC Frey killed the soldiers who abandoned him.
