Don't be dissuaded by the trash score. Give it a try. If you still don't like it at the start of chapter 7 - that's when you should drop.
But it really - REALLY - gets better with each sub-arc. I feel like the author is going from silly comedy with a silly (slutty) premise, to actually leveraging that premise's dramatic potential and playing it totally straight instead of going ham. I feel a "Helck" vibe from this - starts with absurdity and then grows into something praiseworthy. And this is treading the same path thus far (ch 8).
