wait couldnt jotaro stop time for 5 seconds during the final battle?
is the translation messing with us or does he get buffed later in the part?

actually i did hear this somewhere but i forgot where
jotaro can apparently stop time for more than 5 seconds, but his body can only handle 5 seconds of stopped time, and any longer would kill him
the only reason dio could survive longer was because he was a vampire

Actually on star platinum's first card it says he could do that for about 5 seconds in his prime at age 18. Just him not using it as much as time went on even past part 4
