Even after finishing all of Jojo, I'm always shocked at how BIZARRE the beginnings always are lol. This part particularly threw me for a loop, because not only are we first introduced to a strange bunch of tribal people and a weird business man with a underage wife, we don't even start with the 'mc'. I'm re-reading this a year and a bit later and it's still so crazy but also so hard not to get invested in fast.
