@googoober I know you're most likely joking or something, but after the ending of part 6 there was no reason to continue the story of the original universe, and sbr is completely unrelated to any of the parts that came before it, so mentioning the events of the previous parts wouldn't have made sense.

Also, Johnny named his son "George" after his father, meaning that Johnny's father really had a genuine change of heart, since he kept loving Johnny enough even after he was disqualified from the race so Johnny named his son after him. If he still hated his father, he would've never named his son after him.
