I don't now what happened to White Cloud Pavilion, but the quality of their translations seem to have suffered as a result.

The translator is perhaps a native Chinese speaker who tends to translate too literally because they do not understand how to express those ideas in English. I'm currently working as a part-time English language tutor and I have detected the same patterns among my students who, along with myself, are Chinese speakers.

Yeah the translation does feel very literal in some parts, is "senior" suppose to be 老板?

@lastKANAshimi no, it's 师兄, which does mean "senior" in terms of fellow disciples under the same master. Personally, I would translate that as "Brother Ba Jie" per martial arts culture of brotherhood instead of "Ba Jie Senior".
