Will adopting to jpeg xl (uncompressed) and avif (for compression) result in better manga reading experience since are are faster to load. Also since we need more MangaDex@​Home (https://mangadex.org/thread/423844) could’t efficient space storage and reducing bandwidth requirements by using newer efficient formats help in the meantime.

As long as it would break for a significant amount of our readers, there's no point considering it when png works for all of our readers. The benefit would be minor compared to the headache it would cause.
