The authors make some nonsensical decisions for the sake of drama, but even they wouldn't do that. Haru's probably fine now~

She prevented the accident from happening (I think), but Baek Kyung (sp?) found out about them being characters in a book (from what I can understand from the pictures in the free chapters on the novel's site), and after that, I couldn't find out what happens next.
