I hope he is genuinely disfigured or cursed. Typically when a ML keeps his appearance or title hidden, he's someone discovered to be the most eligible bachelor or someone with high status and/or beauty. Immediately everyone is jealous of the MC, etc.

For once, I'd like to see a ML who is what people say he is (at least appearance-wise) and for the MC to proceed to be a person who genuinely loves him and sweeps him off his feet, all the while defending him from any gossip or ill-humor remarks. Then for people to accept him for who he is with maybe some programs for unfortunate groups such as wounded veterans or orphanages.
