Translation is slightly wrong, it says "evaporated" but should be "vaporized".

Technically it means the same thing, but evaporated implies something evaporated of it's own accord, while to vaporize or be vaporized is usually when something did vaporized something else.

One, you have no idea how much power was in the attack because all of the aoe was focused into a beam. The manga might tell us next chapter or not, but the LN explains how devastating that beam was.
