@XL I really feel like using "cringe" to describe anything you don't like is really immature tbh.
If you hate it this much, why are you even reading it ?
I meanin the first poace you are completelymissing the point of the story. Of course he is fucking ridiculous wearing capes and the like under a bright sun.

BTW in the novel, at this point he is actually roleplaying as a sniper, protecting the girl from the bad guys... until he loses patience because she is wearing shoes that does a hell lot of a sound on top of her huge clumsiness, and protecting her from afar becomes almost impossible with how many villains she is attracting.
So he just shows up and proceed to mow down everything instead.
