It's a little weird that he's really a human, but a relationship like one of a human and their pet dog (no, not that way) is good too. No unnecessary love triangle, and it also fits that he wants to be super cool for the person he loves, like dogs seem to want to do

cant wait for the spinoff sequel to this featuring the mc's in cameo roles to be cancelled after 8 chapters leaving the majority of its plot threads untied. anyway i do genuinely want a continuation bc what little we got to see of this new set up and the old ga cast was very promising. hope higuchi sensei gets to end the saga eventually
