In a recent interview aka said that after this arc we'll be going into the seccond half of the story and that we'll get a lot more focus on hayasaka after the third year arc wich is around 7 volumes away, so there's still a lot of kaguya to come, and given that it's a pretty popular series i doubt it'll get axed i just hope it doesn't go to shit like every other romance manga in existence

Long story short he was accused of stalking and stigmated for it in middle school, while all he had done was to beat the shit out of guy who was cheating on a girl with which Ishigami was on pretty friendly relations. But when Ishigami was "executing" him in the middle of classroom, the asshole accused Ishi for beating him up so he'll be able to hook up with the girl out of jealousy. And so he was stigmated for stalking and suspended from school for quite a time.
