@lionfromnorth The demon army leadership seems to be really incompetent. Like, imagine going to war and not doing any recon, then complaining about how the enemy is using weaponry you fail to defend against. They literally did that so I'm not expecting much from them as sorcerers either lol

@jreadingmanga this just the case witb current four king generation, the last generation who MC server as conselor is competent one even againts strongest generation hero, the currenrt flame king just to idiot to even realize it, wind not even want to be king in first place she just love flaunting, water just schemer without brain and earth kinda pessimistic albeit decent

in latter chapter there actually a test for upper echelon demon armys that to meet face to face with Demon Lord, if you show fear to Demon Lord and feel his power than you competent if not you pretty much an idiot and that current flame king is

@lionfromnorth I think it's much a problem of working hard on magic than a problem of talent. Those demons are lazy and don't work hard on their good point. Although our MC cannot use magic, he had worked very hard to use it, so i think that he have a better knowledge than the average soldier.

@lionfromnorth he's keeping track of a hundred chants, one hundred one, since he's also watching the commander. The current Demon army mostly steamrolls with brute force, they aren't taught to fight with tactics or strategy against similarly skilled fighters. No mage duels, with feints, and counterspells.

Meaning the sorceror doesn't even know the chant durations for basic elemental spells mentioned a page before.
If it was something difficult to remember, instead of a 2-digit number, then it would be valid. Don't tell me an adult human being can't remember a few 2-digit numbers he uses every single day in his work life.

It reminds me of musket using soldiers against sword using soldiers in close range... with the musket not loaded during the start of the fight.

@lionfromnorth I wasn't trying to give them an excuse for failing as a sorcerer. I literally said they're super incompetent in seemingly every aspect in their life which is an agreement to your statement....
Also looking at your reply to @CountryMage you might want to read his comment again before saying his reading comprehension is terrible. He's not saying that memorizing 2 digit numbers is difficult, he's saying that the MC is skilled because he's in a fighting scenario where he's applying his knowledge of the spells to 101 combatants and fighting them off successfully. I'm not sure what meanings you've gotten from CountryMage's and my comments, but it's not what we meant for sure
