Kajiya de Hajimeru Isekai Slow Life - Vol. 1 Ch. 5

Based on these two girls being the only ones shown with the MC in the first chapter, does this mean his harem will only max out at 2? I really hope there are more girls (plz someone spoil me if you know)

It’s kinda strange to make a niche manga on a topic which you don’t really understand. From what I understood from people’s comments on the last chapter is that you don’t use cast to make blades and such. It would be like making a food manga and claiming that you only use salt on vegetables or that cooked and uncooked meat should be stored together for enhanced flavor.

The Dwarf’s name should NOT be translated as Riku. The original text says リケ so it should spelled Rike or Rikay; not Riku (リク), thats a different letter.

The LN illustrations also spell her name in English as Rike, but サーミャ name is spelled Sameya in the LN so take from that what you will. Either way, Riku is a misreading of her name

What will super sharp weapons/tools bring to the world?

At first the slaughter of monsters, which will be seen as a good thing. Then good old human on human conflict lol

Still not too sure about the logic of being from a smithy, going out, learning another blacksmiths secrets then going back to the first smithy and making them better. I know he asks the question but isn’t that just ye olde corporate espionage?

That sort of thing is how apprenticeships in the trades / crafts have always worked, though. It's how knowledge and techniques disseminate, and become universal.

When these things don't travel, eventually they become lost. Look up Damascus steel for an example.

@BanditHadron

I get the logic your laying out. But his technique is literally other worldly. For example Just because he has knowledge of guns doesn’t mean it would be a good idea to hand that knowledge out. (I know there’s no mention of guns).

In our world intellectual property is generally protected to some extent, sharing all knowledge is noble but some of it has to be earned or it can lead to catastrophe.
It’s not really important, but in the context of his situation if the people could mirror his abilities what’s going to stop assassins using his blades or soldiers dying even easier upon the battlefield.
Interesting thought problem I guess
