I'm the translator but there's only 1 chapter out so I have no special insight or anything... But I get a feeling that this isn't one of those supernatural VR titles like SAO. The reactions from the cafe customers are just too suspicious. I think it's sci-fi only to the extent that it happens in 2029 but more a mystery thriller than anything else.

@ThePaulBunyanTrophy Everything about that scene in the cafe was suspicious. Maybe I read too much into this, but that the super beautiful doctor would feel something for the chubby part timer, that she'd pose as a waitress in a cafe, that she'd be almost raped by some random colleague just when the GM passes by, and the customers were all standing by observing and where all waiting for *something* to happen.

IMO, it looks like everything was staged, from the scene in the combini to the scene in the cafe, in order to manipulate the GM of this VR world. What the final goal is remains to be seen.
