1. A person she used to be close with before (Since she referred to him with -kun not -san this probably means they knew each other at some point)

2. He's someone who got the scar because of her and didn't want her to know him so she won't feel bad, otherwise I don't see why the author would put a scar on his forehead and make it this obvious.

Ah yes, the ol' "they were actually hot the whole time!" trope. Oh well, the story and characters are cute aside from that so it's not that big a deal. I just wish manga would let non-conventionally attractive characters be something other than a joke character or a villain.
Especially considering that the whole central point of this manga, which is "it's not about what you look like, it's about what's in your heart", kinda gets destroyed by employing this trope.
