@CommieJohnTeh : the Senin in Naruto are all named after the characters in a Japanese folktale, so the same name is not necessarily a Naruto reference.
I appreciate that the protagonist is allowed to show some emotion here. "Boys don't cry" is usually the rule in this sort of isekai, outside of super-angst territory anyway.
FYI: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiraiya (Upshot: Naruto is not the origin of that triplet of names. Which is also part of why you'll see "Jiraiya" as a ninja name in other franchises. It should be noted that Naruto stole famous ninja names all over the place (e.g. Sasuke)).

Well... yes. I mean—I knew you were joking? Just not whether you knew the source material. The aforementioned redundancy of my comment aside, I'd just as rather have taken the opportunity to point out the origins of the names anyway though (since it's no doubt on some people's minds).
