This is one of those things, I guess. They put that note, a bunch of people might complain at them for "stating the obvious" (you might think that sounds dumb but I've seen it happen with translation notes before). They don't put that note, they might get other people complaining about not explaining it for the less knowledgeable. You can't please everyone no matter what you do, so just do what you do and roll with that. I would tend to agree with going with the side that's perhaps excessively informative, myself. But they can really do whatever they want with their uploads.
