Kanojo ni Naritai Kimi to Boku - Vol. 2 Ch. 22 - Kafka Inside a Mirror

Oh my, did he do it as hobby, way of life, to not get caught for working as a student or do we have another identity case? The answer, onwards!

I'm impressed. I don't think I would have remembered someone who I kind of saw once, especially if I was crying in the middle of it. Hell, I didn't remember that that even happened...

This is interesting. I at first thought "another trans girl?" But thinking about how casually this person just came out and said it, in comparison to how hard it was for Akira to say anything, I think it might not be the same. Who knows tho, I'm sure it'll go in an interesting direction either way.

Thank you for the chapter!!

It would be cool if this new character was nb, even if they didn't have dysphoria it would make an interesting contrast having Akira chan and this new character who maybe isn't cis! Something kinda like Rain Dove (the model) where they just like to choose their presentation because they're androgynous enough that they pass for both a guy and a girl

For those curious, the quote on the first page is from philosopher Simone de Beauvoir.

On ne naît pas femme: on le devient.
One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.

Beauvoir wrote extensively on gender as performance and as a social construct. This quote is from her book The Second Sex, published in 1949. The discussion and ideas of gender fluidity are not new and unprecedented things.

Holy fuck that Beauvoir quote, how woke is this mangaka??? <3
ALso??! Omg i love this new character??! please let them be confirmed enby/x-gender, my heart would be so fulfilled!

fun fact, the line "on ne nâit pas une femme, on le devient" is a quote from the important French philosopher Simone de Beauvoir's book "The Second Sex".
