Ruka is just annoying and selfish. She is not the type of person you can have equal and fair relationship with. In fact, she does not feel like a person at all.

Edit: I wrote this before even reading the chapter. Now, after reading it, I am just straight-up furious.
I am feeling like crushing someone's skull...-shaped vodka bottle.

Edit2: If I was an MC, I would have pushed her away, punched her straight into the face. She would fall and hit her head. Then I'd be charged with murder. Then my family would have turned away from me. I would get raped in the prison with a toothbrush. Then years later I would be let out of prison as a fully grown man right into the society, where robots delivering food are the norm. Unable to adapt to a new world, I would have to work illigaly as a janitor at japanese McDonalds under a minimal wage and get a crippling depression memories for life. Welp, at least japanese men don't have to go through the military service.

@cyric777 The ruka hate exists because SHE knows he has no feelings for her and she's still pushing and blackmailing him into a relationship when he wants nothing to do with her. She knows he will never want her, yet here she is. She's being selfish and ignoring the one she "loves". As someone in love right now and in a happy relationship selfishness gets thrown out the window a good 90% of the time. She's selfish ALL THE TIME. That's not love. He just made her heart beat a little fast so she thinks its love so she's trying to monopolise someone who has no feelings for her. If she truly loved him she wouldn't be being such a selfish ass.

Interesting to see how divided the comments are.

Remember, Ruka is his girlfriend. Period. Chizuru is an escort (sorry, "rental girlfriend.") If anyone is the "other woman" or "homewrecker" in this, it is Chizuru.

Don't get me wrong, I think I'd pick Chizuru over Ruka as well. However, pursuing Chizuru while he has a girlfriend is not the girlfriend's fault. He's the one in the wrong, not her. She has every right to be upset that her boyfriend is messing around. MC is a spineless loser who is being totally unfair to his girlfriend. He needs to grow a pair and break up with her if he wants Chizuru and has no interest in Ruka.

(Side note, I dunno if I could handle Chizuru after all. I want a devoted woman and she's downright said that she loves her job as an escort, and loves dating different men 5 nights a week or whatever. It is probably intentional on the part of the author that we don't really see that stuff going on. Call me possessive but I'm not down with that from my significant other. Ruka quit and didn't look back. Other than when Chizuru is on the clock, Ruka's been a far better girlfriend.)

@kwijo from what I remember, Ruka isn’t a real girlfriend either. She’s a “trial” girlfriend and even that was something she decided on her own. Considering that Kazuya never goes out of his way to call or text Ruka, the trial isn’t working out. He doesn’t have feelings for her and she isn’t winning him over so all Ruka is really doing is getting in the way of Kazuya’s feelings for Chizuru. Ruka may not be a home wrecker but she is almost crossing that line. It doesn’t help that she’s super pushy and annoying. She’s only considering her feelings and ignoring any signs that it’s just not working out.
