I liked the first anime's silliness better. Fuck the grimdank addicts, even if the movie was more consistent.

@gsimy not interested, i just wanted to rant about how grimdank writing doesn't automatically make a story better like a lot of people seem to think

the movie was more tonally consistent than the first anime, but the movie also had so many unexplained shit/plot holes that even jack sparrow would not be able to save it. Decent lore fanservice for the game fans maybe, but still bad writing.
In terms of enjoyment i enjoyed the first anime's random goofiness much more.

i agree that the anime was really enjoyable for the 'slice of life' atmosphere, ad i really love it
the kancolle movie and the azur lane anime was not a success for their 'serious tone'
