@dend08 I think it is to make himself more useful in a party if anything. He can't improve the evasion rate of comrades, but he can now shield them. I don't know what rules the world applies too for skills, but there is an accuracy skill. I would assume the likes of the demon lord at least would have an accuracy that exceeds 50. There are probably dungeon bosses who have really high attack and accuracy
