I supposed this is for the best i liked minoru better when he was in reinan before he went pro and we met characters like Pedro and Saizo.But i still would've liked more Meo and Takeru Good read. As a karateka myself i recommend it.

Someone has some some source saying it was axed or is people just speculating?

It's reasonable speculation, given the awkward acceleration of the pace in the last arc.
