I used sus as f*ck instead of fishy, questionable, or shady because the latter are too stoic based on the context. It's more for feel.
 
Hmm @Loksel, yeah, that could work. But can you imagine anyone ever saying "... that sus as tale" in a conversation?

But what if it turns out she had confused heteromanticism with heterosexuality? She could possibly be homoromantic as a girl, but sexually... normal? What even would be normal in this situation?

Pretty sure they meant "sus-ass tale" kind of like "bad-ass" or so on, but that's a really region-locked slang phrase, so I'm not sure.
