This chapter seemed like bullshit to me, weeks of uninterrupted sleep would have you rushed to the hospital, not left at home in your own bed without intravenous therapy keeping you alive.
I'm no expert on sleep syndromes, but from a quick google search I would assume that the author is basing it on Kleine-Levin syndrome, which can cause patients to have week-long episodes of excessive sleepiness, rather than actually sleeping uninterrupted for weeks.

I still enjoy the story though.

I'm sure she didn't spend all that time at home. A nurse should have been hired or some other medical practitioner to periodically come and treat her. I'm sure the parents hired someone to do it.

@Darkmeep I would have accepted that kind of explanation if the story at the very least had bothered to show an IV set up in her room to explain how they fed her.

Haa... yeah I'm really stretching it hu lol. I can keep going and say those have wheels and all but in the end an author can't write a character smarter than she is.
