Unless you use a language on a regular basis you will get worse at it. Also unless you regularly speak it your pronunciation and confidence in the language will drop even if you are comfortable reading it.

@Rheeve no kidding, I could speak both fluent Spanish and German five years ago, and now it takes a ton of effort to construct one sentence in either language (heck, I'll even accidentally combine the two in one mishmash sentence). It's pretty sad but yeah, that's what happens when you don't practice.

Reading and writing is MUCH easier, probably because you have more time to think and picture the words visually.
