@Zyscheriah Any slave could be treated however their master wanted to treat them. He lucked out with who bought him, which is the main super power most of the time in isekai, anyway. Dumb luck. If you really need to have him experience a harsher slavery, then just remember his life in Japan as what was more or less a corporate slave. He died from overwork sleeping on a toilet. Sounds miserable enough to me.
