Kekkaishi e no Tensei - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

Oh nevermind,
I just skimmed the next few raw chapters. 5th grade quality writing - this stuff is tantamount to when a young kid will end a story with "and then everyone died". Can't believe what a waste of time this series is. It had a solid first four chapters, but honestly the writing from then on is deplorable.

@Meridis exactly I really liked the starting first 2 chapters, I thought it would be about MC with slave mindset and his struggle with upper nobles and noble lovers and politics and wars. So, I started reading the LN but then the author hit me with his garbage writing.

It's like the starting story and characters ehich we grow to like doesn't even matter.

Dropping this shit....

I had a funny feeling with how well things were going considering it started as him as a slave that things were going to get dark soon, but it sounds like they end up worst than I thought from reading the comments, and it's not worth continuing the story.

@Tokanova yea my opinion is just so shit right, MC being a castrated little slave without a single drop of courage or conviction in him is just so much more engaging right. nothing more fun than a MC who loves being a slave and doing anything his masters tells him...

@Doomer You realize he's being treated infinitely better as a slave now than he was treated at his job in his former life, right? They're pretty much family, and overall he's more a servant than a slave.

I'm surprised you 'haven't seen' an isekai with a more submissive MC considering it's like 75% of them.

All in all, you're right, being free would be a good thing, because there's nothing good about being a slave even if there's literally no active bad things, but it's not like he'd leave his family of his own volition even if it was removed. He'll do what they tell him regardless because he likes them.

@Fari it doesn't matter how nice they are to him they are still his masters and he's still nothing but their slave
it doesn't matter if other MC's just go with the flow and follow orders they are not slaves, they still have the freedom to make their own decisions
yes if he was released he would keep working for them, WORKING not as a slave but an employee, they know this, they've known this for years yet still keep him as a slave...

you guys really are glossing over the slave part really damn hard, i'm surprised everyone is so shill about being slaves here...

@taerene @Volttekka

Ahh shit yeah I read ahead quite a bit into the LNs, this was such a fun premise and set up, and Eril such a pretty and fun onee-san -- I really wanted them to be a couple.

Then yes, it does all go to complete shit and it turns into a pervert hanky-panky 'great demon lord' manga where he masters all magic known in the world, has millions (not even kidding) of hit points (big xp gains from destroying a country, apparently) and is no longer a 'barrier master' manga.

Seeing the spoilers and the end of this chapter, I just think: this is going to get dropped
