I can accept the power up of those two maniacs, it plays well in their personas but i still think the grandpa tanuki cant/shouldnt lose, the author has been a little to inconsistent with the lower levels of the factions so if the leader of the tanuki loses i feel this will really be a bungle in the story.

Gramps be rocking those sunglasses.

@alacaelum well you agotta remember these foxes aren’t exactly random mobs. They were handpicked and had probably been put through hellish training by the other fox(who’s likely to be final villain) to bring out their full potential.
I think the old guy will last long enough but either suffer from the strain of combat/maintaining that illusion and our hero’s will show up to help/save him
