Kemono Michi - Vol. 3 Ch. 13 - (Chapter 17)

Didn't even give enough shits to let the annoying hunter dude finish his statement. The man's on a mission, for fluff and/or scales.

just to clarify the TL note on page 10:

MC says "飼って" (katte) 飼う(kau)--meaning to keep as a pet.
Guild master thinks he says "狩って" (also katte) 狩る(karu)--meaning to hunt.

the way the verbs are conjugated makes them sound the same. similar to english with the words dye and die. though, in this case both words work in context despite different meaning.

>everyone is speculating that Hanako is related to Demon King
How about you guys read again earlier chapter?

Also, antbro name is as cool as his form.

I'm pretty sure demon king would be hella pissed when he sees his own portrait... ?

Hanako might be the daughter of the demon king, she got cut off before she could finish her sentence.

In all seriousness, though, in a different series, that drawing would make for a pretty damn freaky demon king that'd probably ratchet up the Lovecraftian feel a few notches.

they specifically said that hanako was one of the 4 dukes under the demon king

@DarkEboreus
So, it should've been translated it with like "can I own it?" instead? It could be either "own it" as getting them as a pet or "own it" as defeating them.

@siscon

oof. necroing a post from almost a year ago. i'll answer, though.

if i were to translate what was said, i would put, " I'm sorry to ask this, but would it be alright for me to take it (as a pet)?" "What are you saying? Of course it's alright to take it (the quest)!"

parts in parenthesis being what they're implying, but not what they actually say. obviously difficult to translate these sorts of word play.
