@lemonsquares I am wondering the same... Were the previous TL so bad they just had to go back to the start of the series ?
Not just that, but they started at chapter 3 and now 4... But what about chapter 1 and 2 ?
This is so weird and makes no sense to me.
While more TL can only be good for us peasants, you have to agree that it's seriously a weird place to start.
Thanks for the TL though! The higher quality is certainly appreciated.

@TetraSky @LemonSquares just a random guess, but they might be put off by the low quality typesetting. The translation quality of both TLs is good, but this presentation is much better.
It doesn't seem to merit a redo on any other grounds.
Chaps 1 and 2 had good quality TLs already.

If you're doing a different TL of older chapters nobody is going to bother you about how long you take....

To those wondering why I'm doing chapters that have effectively already been done, it's because this is my first time doing any of this. I've never translated, typeset, or redrawn manga. For the most part, I'm a horrible artist.
Picking up and improving upon an existing series means that if I sucked at it or hated it, I could bail without feeling too bad, whereas if I jumped straight into the series that I have my eye on (one that's been abandoned for a while and has missing chapters in the middle) then there would be a lot more to lose and a lot more people to disappoint by giving up.

Why are you guys being shitty about something that doesn't effect you? The TL is doing this work for future readers of this . I have struggled through the early chapters when I started reading and would welcome a better scanslation.
Maybe the TL was trying to read the manga and got stuck on the early pages and decided to do something about it instead of siting here complaining like a bunch of entitled children.

@Elestriel This is a pretty good way to do it. It doesn't walk all over anyone else's work so your stuff can be judged on its own. Ignore the hate you get from people who are just salty they got a false positive in their follows list.

Page 1 already has something in need of correction.
Luminaria's isn't meowing, ニヤ/ニヤニヤ is an onomatopoeia for grinning.
Rest are all great, it's nice that the small text left untranslated by the other group has been properly done. Like the Accord Cannon Solomon is very proud of in the novels having an extended spiel being briefly mentioned.

@amamiya426 I'll have a look! After many hours of translating and redrawing, ニヤ and ニャ start to look the same. You're probably right, I don't remember seeing ニャン.
Plus, I felt like I could totally see Luminaria doing that!
