@mruggeri2 - I hear ya, but there isn't any point getting upset about it, right? It'd honestly probably be best to just leave it untranslated as 'maou' to let the reader pick. However, if that's not an option, it's pretty clear it's meant by the people to be "Magic King", while Shin seems to be the one who feels it's "Demon King". Perhaps because of it's use in his previous world? Either way, since there are actual devils/demons in the story it would probably be best to use"Magic"to avoid confusion. It would also be a bit strange for an "Apostle of God" to also be refered to as a demon.

To people who questioning why human need to attack human, Strom himself dont really care about anything other than his target of revenge that its the empire. As for other "demon" they end up drunk in power and think human as below them that way some chapter ago they attack human city, shin and of course other higher up human didnt know what strom think and assuming the attack by demon is his order that way they need to attack first rather than getting attacked and have civilian casuality since the empire already devoid of human to after all
