Hmm, I could have the order of things mixed up, but I feel like it skipped a segment of the novel where he pointed out that he was far too weak compared to the other humanoid demon. I hate it when important segments are skipped.

@bushwhacker2k You probably forgot about posting that by now, but: Page 12, first panel "He could speak, and even though he was a demon, he was a lot weaker than the stories tell." Perhaps the novel went more in depth on that or he was supposed to say it to everyone instead of internal monologue, but I'd say it's still there a bit with that.

Oh, I love it, when the evil villain does their inner monologue about "I hope she/he will not become a bother", while looking at the MC. Well, of course the MC will be a bother. It is the MC and if your evil villain plans don't come to fruition it is most probably because of the MC or an important side character close to them.
