I wonder why the villains never understand that dealing a heavy blow, such as killing/raping/demonizing their fiancée, would only unhinge the hero and make him into your worst nightmare.
Like Kratos.
@Vasqueztion Most bad guys are short-sighted and lack vision. They think that killing someone precious to us makes us fall into despair, when it actually makes us go into a berserk rage. >_>
@firefox1234 Think of it this way, Shin is a double promoted unit, meanwhile the gang is just single promoted, and they’ve only fought against mooks before now. These guys are single promoted.
@mage_goo honestly its 50/50 when it comes to that. on one hand there are the heros who lose it and just kills everyone in his way(guts and kratos), or you get the easily manipulated who ends up following the villains plans(i cant think of anyone so maybe like arrowverse green arrow?)
@mage_goo
That's all well and good if you're not the target of their revenge. Which this would totally be in that latter category.
Though, I am still of the mindset that she is going to get napped and demonized, forcing Shin to learn the unlearnable reversal magics. If I wanted to pad a story, that's what I'd do. Nothing beats padding like getting to the final boss only to find out your lover is the semi-final boss, forcing a retreat and subsequent depression scenario. Followed by uplifting moral "if anyone can do it you can", then a journey to the West to find out about the mythical magic. Blah blah, you get the point. We're talking padding levels you wouldn't believe!
I find amusing how they think that killin cecily they'll make shin weaker or fall in despair, they are only searching for a method to regret ever thinking of that...
