This is far and away the most accurate depiction of an American high school I've ever seen in a manga. The fantastical elements aside, Daromeon drew from his own experience as an exchange student and it shows. The biggest "authenticity" factor is the profanity, US high schools are full of swearing, in a way that Western media hardly even captures.

this shit ain't perfect but man do I love a lot of the duuuuuuumb stuff it does. also pretty refreshing to see a dude who came from Japan, lived in the US, and then made a manga "based" on it. it's absolutely absurd and revels in it.
