The manga really is vastly different from the anime, but it takes a while to reach the point where the divergence is really significant, so please don’t start getting upset because you wanted something different from the start. And also: IIRC the artwork in the manga has a major case of sameface, the anime did a really good job of differentiating the characters where the original artist made it look like half the cast were siblings.

Martian sucessor is Old AF, been years since last time i watched the anime, hope the manga is just as good!

Aye, this is one I own and read years ago. Even though I haven't seen the anime....

The thing that sticks most in my mind was how hard it was to tell what was happening in battles.
