We already know that related doesn't mean they have the same animal. We have the tiger and cheetah as proof. Though they are both cats, so he's probably a type of reptile.
I would love to see a brute alligator snapper. Those things are absolutely terrifying. I've seen them bite into metal boats, snap oars, and take bites out of alligators with zero issues. And that's just their jaws... Which is funny, because their jaw strength isn't supposed to be all that powerful for their size.
Look it up. The thing looks like a freaking dinosaur, lol.

I've looked it up. You weren't kidding. However in this manga most brutes have their human form somewhat resemble their brute form. And honestly I just don't see that guy transforming into a tutle. I look at that guy and only thing I could think is "Hedgehog".
