you know, i was kinda hoping expecting Nomoto was going to survive by being turned into a hybrid. maybe it would be by Ratel's and Shido's rivals who would then pit him against her, making her deal with the relief of knowing he's still alive and the pain of knowing he now wants to return the favor. I was so ready for Punished Nomoto, but he's still the same doofus he was in the first volume.

"Why did the everyman character need to be killed?" was the most interesting Nomoto-facing plot point that made his post mortem character more interesting.
The death didn't stick.
