It's honestly understandable why Kanae wouldn't accept her. She bought things only for the three girls, still intentionally leaving Kanae out. Only after they rejected her did she turn to Kanae in hopes of the meeker girl accepting her.

In a shoujo manga she'd obviously be accepted by Kanae and gradually make more friends again, but alas, this isn't a shoujo.

Author was a victim of bullying herself so it's no wonder the depiction of abuse feel accurate.
Most of her works are about that so I'd say it's a typical case of catharsis.

What Ichika is going through losing her friends is very much what falling into that kind of depression is like, and she does a good job expressing it visually of falling into that pit of despair. And that's just Ichika. @gomichandesu

Best chapter yet. Amazing expressions, the artist has really honed her talent at portraying suffering with all those rape comics. Regardless of who deserved or didn't deserve what, Ichika didn't live a life that would garner her any real support in a time of need. The word "clique" is appropriate, none of these girls are friends.

By the way, does this school have great nurse staff or what? They even give out free "get over your rape" chocolates.
