The anime's turning out fairly disappointing, honestly. The characters look generically good in talky scenes, but the action is very half-baked and the sense of impact and speed that some scenes sorely need to look good is missing - partly as a consequence of a lot of shots to obscure movement, instead of properly showing it.

If you compare the anime with the manga, the art in the latter has a less polished feeling at first glance and there are bits like Mismis's EXAGGERATED BOOBS that are extremely hit or miss, but it has a lot of personality, and a much better notion of scale and force in fight scenes to sell how impressive the exchanges actually are - a lot of the character-centered panels are also very intense-feeling, which is definitely missing from the anime.
