oof my dog that ive had since i was about 6 or 7 is also very old and was like that a couple of months ago... the whole family was prepared to say goodbye to him but he pulled through and is still alive. however, this chapter still made me tear up

This chapter had me sobbing. Anyone with a family pet can understand that feeling of having to say goodbye to your friend. My dog was the same, didn't eat anything but would give me the occasional lick to try to comfort me as she just lay down. Dogs and cats just don't live long enough.
