Hetero romance in gender benders usually comes when the male is a childhood or best friend or something. And if you guys can believe it, back in the 90's and early 00's, that was WAY more prevalent than the yuri option. In fact, the yuri option was often met with homophobic scorn either by either the writer or fans.

I've read a LOT of gender bender, so I'm saying that I have this hunch that this manga is not going to go that route with a male love interest.

@cezyou The other people's recommendations are all good, but if you want the absolute best. The creme of the crop. The best piece of meat you can find in this genre! Then you'll find what you're looking for in a novel.

Reborn as my Love Rival's Wife

It's my favorite love story of all time, it's completely translated and with good quality translations too. You'll not regret it even if you're not into gender bender, the MC's hilarity alone is enough for anyone to like it.

(Also, if you want more mangas or novels like this...I can recommend some really decent ones. Mangas like, 'Glass Shoes', 'Kakumei no Hi', and other stuff I can't think up off the top of my head.)

Suffice to say, the yuri option isn't as overwhelmingly prevalent as it might seem when you step back and look at the big picture going back decades. It's just a lot more popular in recent times.

Helps that anti-gay stigma has been receding since the turn of the millennium and... hey, the idea that anyone can be the yuri is a novel idea people are gonna enjoy writing for a while. But if you want TG/TSF het, there's a wealth of het out there.
