As someone's whose first complete viewing of Neon Genesis Evangelion was a complete, one sitting affair I have to say I relate heavily to this chapter.

Also, I do not recommend it. Maybe after you've seen it a few times just so you can experience it, but please do not make it your introduction to NGE.
