@InedibleSpook After the battle, Zhao went and poisoned all of the battlefield. They tried to eat dead horses on the battlefield but got ill and died (reread the recent 30 chapters). Secondly, they do eat dead horses (just within the recent 5 chapters) when they knew the dead horses died on their holding ground (like after the battle) and were poisoned by Zhao. You sounded like you skipped a lot.
